Carlotta is a medical doctor and postdoctoral researcher with expertise in HIV, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and liver disease. She earned a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Bern, where her research focused on liver steatosis in people with HIV in Switzerland and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Since completing her PhD, she has remained actively involved in research on HIV, NCDs, and liver disease through the IeDEA collaboration and the Swiss HIV Cohort Study. In parallel with her research, she is currently completing her clinical training in infectious diseases.
